Emerson, Lake & Palmer performed on this day in 1973 at the Scandinavium in Gothenburg, Sweden.
ELP were at this time going further and further north with their Get Me A Ladder Tour. This would be the northernmost date they undertook on this particular tour; after Gothenburg, they returned to Western Europe. This was the very first time the group had performed in Sweden according to several tour date lists I’ve seen; they would only perform a single other concert in the country about nineteen years later while on their Black Moon Tour. This would also be one of the northernmost concerts ELP ever undertook.
This concert was partially recorded and is in circulation online.
I talk more about the venue at which the group performed, the Scandinavium, here.
