The band Roundabout, which would soon become known as Deep Purple, performed on this day in 1968 at the Nimb Hotel in Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen, Denmark.

This was one of the first concerts undertaken by the first lineup of the band, during their short debut tour. They had not yet released or even recorded their first album, Shades of Deep Purple, so this concert came at a very early time indeed for the fledgling group. Already, however, a newspaper report which noted that this gig would occur made mention that the group was going to change their name.
The group were joined by the band Purple Track, about whom there is very little information. In fact, a short google search on the subject only returned results about musical tracks laid down by Deep Purple over the years!
There is no known recording of this concert.
