Deep Purple performed on this day in 2004 at the State Theater in Sydney, Australia.
The group was currently traveling through Australia as part of their Bananas Tour, supporting the album of the same name.
This was a music-heavy night for two members in particular, keyboardist Don Airey and guitarist Steve Morse. The two had to run over to the concert from a performance with an entirely different band, Living Loud! This was a harkening back to the early days of the band, when the first lineup sometimes performed two concerts a day.
The concert was partially recorded, and is in circulation online.
