On This Day (April 27)…3 at the Vic

3 performed on this day in 1988 at the Vic Theater in Chicago, Illinois.

Ticket for the show. Retrieved from here.

3 were at this time right in the middle of their American tour.

During these concerts, the band typically played a setlist which focused heavily on their own album rather than the music of ELP, the band where Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer’s musical association began. The only numbers from ELP that the group would play were instrumentals. Emerson would also play a few solo numbers to round out the setlists.

There is no known recording of this particular concert.

Thank you so much for reading. If you appreciate what I do, consider donating on my ko-fi page or becoming a patron on my patreon! I’m planning on upgrading my wordpress plan to a premium one, which would allow me to improve my readers’ experience. Since I’m fairly broke, I would love it if the costs were offset a bit. Thank you!
