Emerson, Lake & Palmer performed on this day in 1971 at Caird Hall in Dundee, Scotland.

ELP were at the time on their Tarkus Tour, the first major world tour the band would undertake. The start of what would be a year of huge travel was fairly quiet, with a set of dates throughout March and early April in the United Kingdom. It was also during this period that the band recorded Pictures at an Exhibition during their concert at Newcastle City Hall.

There is no known recording of this concert.
I talk more about Caird Hall, the venue at which they performed, here. This was the second time the band had played at this venue.
