On This Day (December 8)…The Fab Four Return to Lewisham

The Beatles performed on this day in 1963 at the Lewisham Odeon in London, England.

Based on a ticket which states “1st performance”, there were likely at least two concerts on this date.

The Beatles had actually already performed at the Odeon earlier that year, just before the rise of Beatlemania in England. At the time, they were not even listed on the ticket. This time, the lines to get a ticket were absolutely massive!

This time, the band performed ten songs, four more than the previous concerts here.

I could find no information on whether or not this concert was recorded.

I talk more about the venue at which the group performed, the Lewisham Odeon, here.
