Emerson, Lake & Palmer performed on this day in 1974 at the Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California.
ELP were at this time on their Brain Salad Surgery Tour, undertaken to support the album of the same name. Every night, the group played Brain Salad Surgery in album order, with earlier pieces from their catalogue interspersed throughout. Two of their pieces, “Tarkus” and “Take a Pebble”, also included lengthy improvised sections each night.
There is no known recording of this particular concert.
