On This Day (February 25)…Yuji Ohno’s Trip to the Cosmos

Yuji Ohno released the album Cosmos on this day in 1981.

Cosmos is a loose concept album about a trip to space overnight told primarily with a jazz orchestra and some synthesizers. Ohno, the primary composer, also played keyboards on the album. He was joined by a panoply of other Japanese musicians in various roles.
