Until his death, Edgar Froese was the only continuous member of the legendary German group Tangerine Dream. He lent both his piano and guitar training to the group in a variety of settings, creating almost fifty years’ worth of albums, soundtracks and live performances along the way. Never afraid to experiment, the group created vastly diverse works ranging from Phaedra to White Eagle to Melrose; the modern genres of electronic, EDM, and new age were all vastly influenced by this single band. Along with this band, Froese also had a prolific solo career.

Today would be a good day to listen to his works or watch some of the movies Tangerine Dream scored: Sorcerer, Risky Business, Legend, The Keep, or one of the many others. You could even play Grand Theft Auto V, which they also helped score.
