On This Day (June 22)…ELP Go To Poland

Emerson, Lake & Palmer performed on this day at Spodek in Katowice, Poland.

On their second-to-last year on tour before their split, ELP could still bring the fire to their shows. By this point, they no longer performed anything from their two recent albums, instead having a setlist composed almost entirely of their early work.

This concert eventually became the album Live in Poland, which was released in Poland in 1997 and elsewhere in 2003.
