Deep Purple performed on this day in 1976 at the Empire Pool in London, England.

This date came in the middle of a five-date UK leg at the end of the group’s turbulent Come Taste The Band Tour. As they had traveled the world, the band had experienced great difficulties both internally and externally, resulting in a general splintering of the group by the end of this tour.
The band had performed at the Empire Pool the previous day, albeit with poor results. This second show was apparently added after the first one had sold out. Thankfully, it was apparently a better concert than the night before! A set of photos from the night that I am unsure whether or not I can share here can be found at this link.

This concert has been recorded and is in circulation online.

Thank you so much for reading. If you appreciate what I do, consider donating on my ko-fi page or becoming a patron on my patreon! I’m planning on upgrading my wordpress plan to a premium one, which would allow me to improve my readers’ experience. Since I’m fairly broke, I would love it if the costs were offset a bit. Thank you!
