Rainbow performed on this day in 1981 at the Coliseum Concert Bowl in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Rainbow were at the time early in their Difficult to Cure Tour, during which time they premiered one new album, two new members, and a whole new sound.
Pat Travers co-headlined the tour. As they were performing in his native Canada, Travers was the focus of the attention and the expectations. According a review of the Vancouver tour, however, Rainbow outdid Travers with a decent set and excellent showmanship. Unsurprisingly, keyboardist Don Airey was singled out for particular praise, in this case his harpsichord intro for “I Surrender” garnering praise (source).
There is no known recording of the concert.
