On This Day (November 22)…King Crimson back at Fillmore East

King Crimson performed on this day in 1969 at Fillmore East in New York City, New York.

This was the second night in a row that King Crimson performed at the Fillmore East. The band once again shared a bill with Joe Cocker & the Grease Band, Fleetwood Mac, and at the later show, the Voices of East Harlem.

According to Ian McDonald’s tour diary, they once again played two shows. He does not reference the quality of the sets or how well they went, as he had in his tour diary the night before.
