The violinist Mik Kaminski was born on this day in 1951.

Kaminski played violin with Electric Light Orchestra after answering an ad in Melody Maker Magazine and passing the subsequent audition. He remained with the band from 1973-1979 and later from 1981-1986.
Kaminski was also part of the band Violinski, ELO Part II, and subsequently The Orchestra.
